The Ultimate Guide: What I Pack in My Simple Carry-On or Personal Item When Flying

Here is The Ultimate Guide: What I Pack in My Simple Carry-On or Personal Item When Flying. When it comes to flying, I like to keep things simple and efficient by packing only the essentials in my carry-on or personal item. Over the years, I’ve perfected my packing routine to ensure I have everything I need without overstuffing my bag. From travel-sized skincare to must-have tech accessories, here’s a peek at the items I always make sure to bring along for a smooth and stress-free journey.

Computer/Technology

I have my computer and my phone. However I usually don’t use it in the plane, mostly my phone. I have a computer case that’s not in the picture. Something I own but didn’t bring with me is a phone clip to hold you phone on the airplane. In the newer planes there is already built in. Our first flights were all in older planes so it would have been helpful. I got these phone chargers for Christmas and they came in really useful. This is zipper bag is how I keep my cords organized.

Toiletries/Make-up

Just for the ease of it, I bought each of us the airport-size toiletries to put in my carry-on. Here are a couple of other reusable options I plan to reuse this clear bag (option 1, option 2, some reusable bottles). Love this fabric zipper bag. I do not use that much make-up. Also, this post is to focus more on the carry-on that goes under your seat that being said, here is a make-up bag. (lip balm)

Medication

Another thing I have that I forgot to put in the picture is my medicine bag. I have Tylenol, Advil, Zyrtec, Benadryl, and chewable Alka-Seltzer. I just put the medicine bottles in a canvas zipped bag (another fun option). This container on Amazon where each pill has its own spot.

Activities to keep you and family members busy

What I Pack in My Simple Carry-On: This bag comes in handy for many things. It is what we stored Uno in. This activity book we got our daughter, but both my husband and I enjoy doing this with her. A sticker-by-number book for adults.

Other useful items

I had two pairs of sunglasses with me on the trip, see my sunglasses post here. I love my Hydro Flask, I usually bring my smaller one because it’s just easier to take with me everywhere. I use this to clip the water bottle onto my purse. This is another option goes on a variety of bottles including a Stanley. All the things I have in my carry-on or personal items are things I want close by me or easy accesses to.

Conclusion

I hope this list gives you some inspiration for your next trip! Packing light and smart not only makes the journey easier but also ensures you have everything you need to stay comfortable and organized along the way. Of course, every traveler has their own must-haves, so feel free to adjust these essentials to suit your personal style and preferences. Safe travels, and remember—simplicity is key when it comes to flying! Hope showing what I pack in my simple carry-on was helpful!
