So you have four day’s visiting South Padre Island, here are some places to eat and things to do. The first thing is how we got there, we flew on American Airlines using our points. I have just gotten into flying with points to find out more about this you can go to this link. Then we rented a car from Enterprise. Actually Enterprise and Hertz are the only two car rentals I will use. We took a late flight, drove to our condo and went to sleep. We stayed in a one bedroom condo that did fit all four of us. There were two beds in the bedroom, one of them being a bunk bed. We liked the condo it is quiet. Here is another condo at the same place.
My croc’s are actually my daugher’s new ones. However I wore them on vacation and with the rain and being by the ocean they were perfect.
Due to the rain in the forecast we schedule our activities around that. Day 1 my daughter and I went horseback riding on the beach we really enjoyed it. Then we went to eat at Mahi Nic’s Seafood. The rest of the day we had play and beach time.
We went to see the sandcastle which is a small exhibit but still fun to see. If you want to there are places that you can have sand castle building lesson’s.
Day 2
We went to South Padre Island Nature Center on the second day. Here is the website. They had great presentation on alligators. It was fun to walk the trails. Again did some pool and beach time because this would be our last day without rain.
Day 3
Today was a little rainy we started later and went for a late breakfast. Then we went shopping that was by the lighthouse. After this we went to the turtle hospital.
Day 4
Today was a very rainy again we got a late start went to breakfast. After breakfast we drove around channel view road. Then went back and had a relaxing day packing, reading and napping.
There are four Restaurant’s I’d go back to. We did eat out a lot. Next time I would not go out to eat as much. I would go back to Mahi Nic’s, Meatballs, Yummies, and Joshine’s Kitchen.
